Although Touch Up on the Go specializes in ‘cosmetic’ repairs, some of our services can handle more extensive damage to plastic components like bumpers, mirrors, skirts, and grilles. We do not repair major damage and dents to metal panels where replacement panels may be necessary.

Our general repair exclusions include:

• Crash and structural damage
• Dents larger than an A4 piece of paper
• Chrome and high polished alloy wheels
• Key scratches running the length of the vehicle
• Painting of entire cars, bonnets, roofs, or boot panels
• Certain non-painted textured plastics
• Deep panel scratches or dents on roofs, bonnets, and boot lids

Wheels Ahead

Take another picture closer to the vehicle approximately 0.5m (50cm) away from the vehicle but capturing all of the damage in that area. This way we can see the area and the extent of the damage to help with quoting and assessment.

Avoid Filters

Proceed to take pictures of other damaged areas if applicable. Please make sure the pictures are in good light, clear (not blurry) and the vehicle clean if possible.

Importance of Cleaning

• Cleaning the area removes dirt, debris, and contaminants that can obscure or distort the damage in photos.
• A clean surface ensures clarity and accuracy in the images, facilitating more precise assessment and repair estimation.
